The Thunder Bay Indigenous Friendship Centre (TBIFC) is one of the “original six” Friendship Centres in Ontario, founded in 1964 and incorporated on February 15, 1968. Kizhaay Anishinaabe Niin – I am a Kind Man session starts September 26th – December 12th. This is a 12 week program every Thursday from 6-9pm. Call Marco for more information @ 345-5840 ext 9079.
Anishnawbe Skills Development Program is proud to share that William Turtle has been chosen by Sioux-Hudson Literacy Council to receive the Lois Gray Award for Achievement. He is their Student of the Year for the province of Ontario for 2019. William successfully completed out upgrading program, went on to graduate from Humanities 101 at Lakehead University and is now studying at Confederation College. Attached here is a photo of William with his Award.
