Become a Member

"Full"

Members should be individuals of Aboriginal ancestry and resident of no more than 50 kilometres from the city boundaries who have attained the age of eighteen years. Full members shall have one vote at all meetings of members of the Corporation.

"Associate"

Members shall be employees of the Corporation. Associate members shall be entitled to attend but shall not be entitled to vote at any meeting of the Corporation.

Membership year is from January 1 - December 31. Cost of membership is $1.00/calendar year.

I agree to abide by and sign the Indian Youth Friendship Society's "Code of Ethics" (see attached) or other terms and conditions as set out from time to time by the Board of Directors.

I agree to abide by and sign the Indian Youth Friendship Society's "Oath of Confidentiality" as attached.

I understand that by providing my mailing address, email address, and telephone number, I consent to receive communications sent by or on behalf of the Indian Youth Friendship Society via regular mail, email, or by telephone.

Qualifications to Become a Director

• Must have paid the required membership fees
• Must supply a "Declaration of No Undischarged Bankrupt"
• Must agree to be bound by the "Code of Ethics"
• Must agree to sign the "Oath of Confidentiality"
• Must be a full member of the Corporation or shall become a full member within ten (10) days after election or appointment as a director"
• Must supply a current CPIC including a vulnerable sector search that is satisfactory within three months of being elected/re-elected or appointed to the board

Voting of Members at Meetings of Members

• Members must have paid all dues or feed thirty (30) days prior to the date of the meeting
